A special occasion for Evermore International as we are delighted at being the main sponsor this 12th of February 2021.

As with the 2020 Euros being delayed a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic so was the 6th Annual Charity Golf Day, but luckily we didn’t have to wait as long.

Being the proud first-time main sponsor of the Lighthouse Club Event, a charity that provides financial and emotional support to the construction community and their families who have suffered an injury or long-term illness or simply need a helping hand. The Lighthouse receives no public funding and relies on the generosity of those within the industry to help us continue our vital work.

For Evermore International it is an opportunity for us to help give something back to Cambodia, to support and provide financial aid to the local community who work within the construction industry. The purpose of the Golf Day was to help raise funds to provide scholarships to young Cambodians who are looking for career paths into the industry.

The day itself started off in dramatic style as the 2 coaches booked to transport all participants both broke down. Lots of rallying around and many phone calls later, tuk-tuks and taxis – everyone was on their way.

On a gloriously hot day, the introductions completed and t-shirts handed out along with an overview of the day’s events, the teams paired up, the golf buggy’s stocked with refreshments.

It wasn’t long before the 1st tee shot was deployed and very quickly the competitiveness began to shine from the budding professionals.

It was great to see so many local businesses come together to participate and to show togetherness in raising money for such a great cause.

A group of scholars was invited to spend the day watching and had the opportunity to speak to the many local businesses in attendance.

The day ended with the closing ceremony with the winners announced and prizes handed out for the best and worst shots of the day.

We can’t wait for the next event, one that Evermore will again be excited and proud to be part of.
